Please post a reflection on your E Portfolio covering your experiences over the past five weeks. Include what you think of the programme so far.
my experiences over the past 5 weeks have been awsome i have learnt so much so far. I have learnt plenty, we have stripped a moter apart and had to identify all the parts and pieces we removed and rebuild it again.
we also have learnt to do fusion welding on the 27th of august, i really enjoyed this as i have always been interested in learning this.
we have done our first aid certificate and done plenty of our work on our industry practice. on the first week we were here a group of us went into the work shop for a introduction, we also learnt how to do break pads in the first week.
At the end of august we learnt how to make a drill gauge witch was great as we got to keep them i also ended up cleaning it and shining it up a bit.
i have really enjoyed this course so far as i am very very interested in this type of industry ever since i can remember i have also got good mates and a good tutor witch makes it very easy to stick with it.

stripping moter.
This is a few pictures of when we stripped the 4 stroke engines down we stripped it down to a bare block and head was awsome. we laid all parts down on the table seperate and all the bolts seperate so we new were everything went back we made sure our table where all the parts were going on to was very tidy so we didnt get confused or anything like that this was a very good experience as i had never done any work internally on a moter before. we also had to measure everything using a micrometer to check for warpage of any parts for examle the retainers, pistons, cam lobes etc etc incase we were rebuilding a moter for real so we had to make sure everything was perfect and in reality we would have had to replace these parts if there was warpege other wise it would have been pointless to rebuild the moter.
